Worried about AI? You can make a difference. No experience needed, just some time and care.
PauseAI Belgium is one chapter for the whole country, working in Dutch, French and English. We are peaceful and non-violent. We are not against AI: we use AI tools ourselves. We want a pause only on the most powerful, least understood systems.
What we do
- Demonstrations. Our first was on 21 September 2026 in front of the European Parliament. The next global PauseAI protest is on 5 December 2026.
- Flyering and outreach. At the Brussels Climate March on 11 October 2026 we handed out 750 flyers.
- Talking to decision makers. We write to Belgian ministers, members of parliament and MEPs, and ask them to support an international treaty.
- Weekly calls online for all members, and a monthly meetup in person that we are starting on weekends.

How to start
- Sign up with the PauseAI volunteer form and choose Belgium. We will contact you.
- Come to an event. Our events in Belgium are on the PauseAI Belgium calendar; protests and online events from all chapters are on the PauseAI worldwide calendar.
- Follow us on Instagram.
